FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Norwich - CT.
One has to wonder what drives people to do the things they do. Sometimes it's a passion that is at the heart of one's drive. Other times, it's purely crazed fanaticism. Sometimes, it's both.

The final of the three would perfectly describe what it is that makes Jeff Chabotte do the things he does. For little more than a year now, he's been on a mission, to live a lifelong dream. It all began with his fascination of the movies. Specifically, the "Back to the Future" films. Sure, it's been everybody's dream to live in a world where time travel is possible. Oddly enough though, it's the flying cars of the second film that has pushed Jeff to do what he does. It wasn't a flying Delorean that Jeff began to pursue, but rather, a flying BMW.

This "flying BMW" happened to belong to the character of "Griff" (Thomas F. Wilson) in "Back to the Future, Part 2".

For many years, this car had fallen victim to studio neglect, cross country travel, and being exposed to the harsh elements of being left outside to rot in the Missouri environment. After being transported to Georgia to begin a new life, it was then purchased by Jeff and brought north to Connecticut and brought up to a visual restoration that rivals it's on-screen portfolio.

But like the movies, looks are deceiving

.

Underneath it's rough, yet refined exterior lies the heart of a beast that yearns once again to regain the strength that it's facade speaks of. Although it may look like a speed demon of unrivaled performance, the only thing that rivals its looks, is the amount of deterioration. That's because the car's engine has seen better days, possibly only when it began life in 1976 as a 633CSI from Europe. The engine can only handle meager tasks such as getting up on the trailer that hauls it, and moving itself around at car shows. The underbody, as you may have guessed, suffers from years of rot. The electrical is gone, possibly the victim of stray rodents. A thorough rebuild of the car is necessary to save this piece of history.

That's why http://www.bttfbmw.com was launched. To save this piece of history by seeking sponsorships and donations to restore the "Griff Car" and preserve it for the future. bttfbmw.com draws upon the concept of Pixel Ad Sales, where internet sites can gain exposure by leasing space on the web site to generate traffic to their own sites. The idea was to draw people from all over the internet by offering something unique, an opportunity to place an ad and become a sponsor for a restoration project that will eventually lead to the fullfilment of a dream.Tto bring the car back out to Hollywood, take the car back to Universal's backlot (the Hill Valley town square) and take some promotional photos and eventually get the car back into film and television work!

So just how can you help? By visiting http://www.bttfbmw.com and becoming a sponsor yourself, or visiting those sponsors that have contributed!
