1) Why?
-Why not? I am a big fan of the Back to the Future films. I still remember seeing it in the theater when it first ran in the summer of 1985. Ever since then, my dream was to be a part of all of that. Sure, I knew it was just a movie, but the adventure it brought me on was the greatest thrill of all. Now, 20 years later, I have the opportunity to be a part of it. Not only that, but I’ll be preserving a part of movie history. People should get to enjoy this car for many years to come, and after seeing the fate of the Delorean time machines, something has to be done in order to save the future.

2) So why this web site?
-Well, I wanted to generate more interest in this car; I also wanted to make sure that a PROPER restoration could be done. Right now, I just have a visual restoration of the car on-hand. The exterior and interior are together, but there are still a lot of hidden problems with this car. I dream of generating the cash to do a complete "frame-off" restoration and rebuild of this car. Bolt-by-bolt.

3) What exactly is wrong?
- None of the electrical works except for maybe the tach, speedometer, and the horn. None of the lights or diagnostics panel lights work. The windows don't roll up, there's no windshield wipers, etc. and that's just electrical problems. There’s also a lot of holes in body that you can't see, especially in the floor pan and the shock mounts.. and probably countless other areas that you can't see. The engine is sadly tired, It won't rev up above 3500 rpm and won't go over 10mph. That's enough to get the car on its trailer and no more. When the factory trim on this car rates this car at over 140mph (as shown on the speedometer) you would imagine that it would be nice to get this car up to at least 88mph! Then, a complete suspension rebuild is necessary to be able to safely drive this car.

4) Why can't you afford to do this on your own?
-Sadly, I just don't make enough at my current job to pay for it, my house, etc.. Plus, I felt that the exposure for everyone who buys a block of advertising would be more than enough to fairly ask for my price. Everyone knows that advertising is a tax write-off, so it makes sense to buy some pixels to get traffic to their sites!

5) What if I can't afford enough to buy some pixels?
- I have some merchandise for sale on this site which you could buy to help me out too. For instance, the Mag-Lev stickers that I have here came directly off the car and were reproduced by a local sign shop; they are available nowhere else and can be had very inexpensively. You can also always just throw a few bucks my way via paypal and I’ll greatly appreciate it, but you can always just buy the stickers.

6) So when the car is done, what will you do?
I want to take it out to California and get on to the Universal Backlot that provided the location for Hill Valley's town square. Currently, it's being used for the CBS series "Ghost Whisperer" which I love to watch, (CBS! Buy some pixels, will ya?) but is also always available to rent for a nominal fee. Then I’m going to have Thomas F Wilson sign this car as well as the rest of his gang members of the future. Plus I’d like to get Christopher Lloyd and Michael J, Fox's signatures as well. After that, I’d like to get this car in a few more films and videos and then find a car museum to house it in when I’m not showing it. I’d also like to be able to build a time machine replica to go with it, if Universal won't sell me one of the originals.

7) I've seen the Die-cast models of the Delorean time machine as well as many other movie cars, is there one for Griff's BMW?
-Unfortunately, no. You'd have to contact one of the die-cast manufacturers and keep requesting that a die-cast version of this car be made available. I’d love to have my restoration work immortalized in scale. Maybe one of them would help donate some money to restore it in exchange for me to get them use of the car for modeling!

8) Your girlfriend must have the patience of a saint!
-Girlfriend? None at the moment! Maybe someday.. *wink*

9) So now what?
-Donate to this worthy cause!!

10) What if I can't?
- Well, then tell someone who you may think can! Spread the word about the Griff car! I’m sure that there are 10,000 people willing enough to donate! Remember, you can still buy stickers!

11) Can I donate anything else besides money?
-Money is always the best thing, but let's say you have a business that sold race car trailers, and you just happened to be able to provide me with one, you can get one to me, and I’ll give you a huge freaking banner at the top of the advertiser's page. Or you want to donate your services by rebuilding the engine for me, or chroming parts, or whatever. Let me know what you can offer, and we can work something out!

12) Is that it?
-Yeah, that's pretty much it. Enjoy the rest of this site and I’ll see you in the future (or the past)!!
