• The minimum purchase is $50 (1 - 10x10 block of pixels), and the maximum purchase is whatever is available
• You aren’t really “buying” any part of my site. You are buying the right to submit a link and image that will be added to the homepage.
• You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them, it will be posted at least 3 years, so be sure it’s the image and link you want!
• Once your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage, you cannot get a refund
• The site and homepage will be online for at least 3 years (starting from the day the first pixels are sold), so at least until February 1, 2009, but possibly even longer.
• No hate or terrorism links will be accepted, and I decide what is appropriate for my site. If you submit an image or link that I don’t like, I’ll give you an opportunity to resubmit an image or link. If the resubmitted link is still inappropriate, I will refund your payment (minus processing fees) and you will lose your pixels.
• If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show inappropriate material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime
• If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publicly available again
• Images must be the exact size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels = 10x10 pixels)
• Images must be in GIF or JPEG format, and a reasonable file size
• Links must be to web pages only and begin with http://
• You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit
• Funds must be fully received and cleared before your ad is placed on the site.
• There might be occasional downtime for site maintenance but I'll try and keep these to a minimum
• Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in my PayPal or bank account), I will aim to get your pixels online within 24-48hrs (but please have patience if things kick off and loads of people order at the same time)
• 10 squares sold: Insurance gets paid for another year
• 50 squares: I can pay the rent for the car storage
• 250 squares:. I can wire the headlights, turn signals, brake lights, etc..
• 300 squares: I can have the engine rebuilt, new brakes, and tires.
• 500 squares: I can purchase an enclosed car trailer to bring the car to shows!
• 1000 squares: I can build the workshop to begin the full frame-off restoration
• 2000 squares: I can purchase all necessary tools and equipment to continue!
• 4000 squares: The car can be completed with new drivetrain, suspension, electrical, interior computer dvd/navigation/stereo system, and special effects (designed by expert Hollywood artists!)
• 5000 squares: I purchase a new truck to haul the BTTF BMW across the country from CT to CA, stopping at various points along the way to offer those who helped pay for sponsorship, an opportunity to have their picture taken with the car. The final destination of this trip will be Universal Studios, Hollywood, and onto the infamous “back lot” which serves as the town square for Hill Valley, CA!
• 7500 squares: I can purchase a particular Delorean and get a time machine to go with the BMW. I will also travel to 5 major car shows around the country for the next 3 years for more opportunities!
• 7500 and above: Uncle Sam. (we know he’s going to do it)
